WAIMEA, HAWAI'IDAILY TOURSAnna Ranch Mountain Bike Tour
Ride through the historic ranchlands of Waimea on a guided Big Island mountain bike tour.
Discover one of Waimea’s most scenic and historic landscapes on a guided mountain bike tour of Anna Ranch, a National Historic Site and working ranch set beneath the Kohala Mountains.
This exclusive Big Island mountain bike tour takes you across the green, rolling hills of the 110-acre ranch, once part of the training grounds for King Kamehameha’s Kipu‘u Pu‘u warriors. Along the way, you’ll learn about Hawaiian history, paniolo culture, and the legacy of Anna Lindsey Perry-Fiske—known as the original Hawaiian cowgirl and the “First Lady of Ranching.”
The ride begins at Anna Ranch with a brief introduction to the area’s history before crossing Kohakohau Stream and climbing nearly 1,200 feet through the cool uplands of Waimea. As you ride, you’ll stop to take in cultural and historic points of interest, enjoy a snack at the vista point, and soak in sweeping views of Mauna Kea, Mauna Loa, and Hualālai.
Family-friendly but still adventurous, this guided Waimea bike tour is a memorable way to experience the land, history, and beauty of Hawai‘i Island.
Please Note: This is a challenging ride and experience is recommended. That being said, we do take beginners up and work with people new to ebikes and help them negotiate the steep terrain! We love to help people develop new skills and accomplish this challenging ride!

— TripAdvisor Review“Challenging ride but definitely fun! Sylvia was so helpful guiding us on the Anna Ranch Tour and giving us so many helpful tips about the e-bikes and when to use certain gears/power. She was patient with us and even told us that if we were unable or not comfortable going up a certain incline, do not hesitate to hop off our bikes and just walk. Great tour and well worth it! Scenery was beautiful!”
— TripAdvisor Review“Jeremy was a friendly, flexible, and informative guide who made our Anna Ranch Tour a blast. He’s knowledgeable about the island, having grown up here, and took the time to check in regularly, explain the upcoming terrain, and gave good pointers on navigating it. We were fortunate enough to have him all to ourselves on this particular day. He takes good photos too! Beautiful views on the ride. Top notch!”
