WAIMEA, HAWAI'IDAILY TOURSMana Road Mountain Bike Tour
A Scenic Backcountry Ride Above Waimea
Ride one of Hawai‘i Island’s most scenic backroads on a guided Mana Road mountain bike tour through the open ranchlands and rolling foothills above Waimea.
Starting from our headquarters at Anna Ranch, this Big Island bike tour follows a historic paniolo route along the lower slopes of Mauna Kea. Once used as a trade route to move cattle toward Hilo, Mana Road winds through wide-open pastures, green hills, quiet countryside, and sweeping ridgelines with views toward Mauna Kea, the Kohala Mountains, and the Kohala Coast.
With premium electric mountain bikes, friendly local guides, and miles of scenic backcountry terrain, this ride offers the perfect blend of adventure, history, and high-country beauty. Expect gentle climbs, flowy descents, gravel-road cruising, and plenty of time to take in the landscape.
This tour is a great fit for riders who want an active but approachable mountain bike experience in Waimea. Our Specialized Turbo e-mountain bikes make the climbs more manageable, while your guide keeps the pace comfortable, safe, and fun for the group.
For experienced riders, this route may also be available on a gravel bike.

Client Reviews
“The e-bike trip on Mana Road was outstanding. The weather was excellent, bikes were in good condition and road condition was also good. Our guide Jeremy was organized, friendly and provided nice insights into local history and geography. Would highly recommend him as a guide.”
— TripAdvisor Review“The Mana Road bike tour takes place in a beautiful setting on a quiet, gravel road. Only a handful of cars passed us during the bike tour. The e-bikes allow passengers who represent a range of fitness levels to participate. I took a group of high school students as a part of a PE class and they had a blast! The person who booked our tour (Lauren) was exceptionally supportive and accommodating and the guides were friendly and fun! I will surely be back!”
— TripAdvisor Review“From start to finish, this bike adventure was topnotch! Alex ensured that our Mana Road Bike Tour was geared for the range of ages (teenagers to 60+ year old adults) and abilities of our school group, adjusting our bikes until they fit just right! Ray and Sylvia (tour guides) were attentive, supportive, and fun! We rode on a path adjacent to a creek to get to Mana Road, then enjoyed the tranquil beauty of rolling pastures on an isolated road in a historic area that represents Hawaii's proud paniolo era.”
